Xiaomi may launch Three new Foldable Phones in 2021

It looks like 2021 is going to be the year of mechanical smartphones, which means foldable or flip smartphones as most of the smartphone makers are hinting about its foldable smartphone launches in 2021. Earlier, Xiaomi has already shared that the company is currently working on a foldable smartphone that will be launched next year. Now, a piece of tipped news has come out from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) that there will be three foldable smartphones in 2021 from Xiaomi. Apart from Xiaomi, Samsung and Oppo are there in the list of launching foldable smartphones in 2021 as well. In terms of the Samsung one, Ross Young has tweeted earlier that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have a smaller main display and cover display.

Another report has come out regarding Xiaomi’s three upcoming foldable smartphones of 2021 that there will be three different design types for three smartphones: out-folding, in-folding, and clamshell. As of now, it is not confirmed from Xiaomi that which of these models will be launched first. It seems like Xiaomi has been started working on this project for a long time, as earlier this year, the company had placed an order with Samsung Display and LG Display for foldable OLED panels for a clamshell-type phone (reports).

.Let’s talk about another upcoming foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 (not the final name). It is more likely to have smaller displays than its predecessor as per another tweet of Ross Young. As per the Samsung officials, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 would arrive in June next year. The company has been working hard to mass-produce this premium product next year. In terms of the S-pen support, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung will use the S-pen with the Galaxy S21 Ultra as well.

As per the leaks from the tipsters, we can find that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is in its unfolded state with two hinges and a keyboard sticking out from one of the sides. Generally, in these kinds of folded smartphones, we can see a single hinge, which means single folded. But in this case, the smartphone can be dual folded, credit to the dual hinge.
