Xiaomi Launches Redmi K60 Ultra in China

Xiaomi officially launched the Redmi K60 Ultra in China on Monday. The smartphone made its debut at an offline event held today, alongside the introduction of the Xiaomi Fold 3, Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, and Xiaomi Band 8 Pro. Featuring a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, the Redmi K60 Ultra is driven by a Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, combined with a Mediatek 690 APU. The device features a triple rear camera system, spearheaded by a 50-megapixel sensor. Its power source is a 5,000mAh battery, complemented by 120W fast charging capabilities.

Launched in China on Monday, the smartphone’s pricing starts at CNY 2,599 (approximately ₹30,000) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the variant with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at CNY 2,799 (approximately ₹32,000). Available for CNY 2,999 (about ₹34,350), the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage option is offered, while the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage configuration is set at CNY 3,299 (approximately ₹38,000).

The top-tier model with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is listed at CNY 3,599 (roughly ₹41,200). For the time being, the device will be exclusively available in China, with global sales yet to be confirmed. The smartphone comes in color choices of Black, White, and Green.

The Redmi K60 Ultra boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2272 x 1220 pixels, featuring a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Fueling the device is a Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, accompanied by up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Xiaomi has also introduced Wildboost 2.0 technology for this device, which is designed to maintain a cooler temperature by up to 3 degrees Celsius.

Regarding its camera setup, the Redmi K60 Ultra houses a triple rear camera arrangement, spearheaded by a 50-megapixel IMX800 Sony sensor. This setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel portrait camera. For capturing selfies and facilitating video calls, the smartphone incorporates a 16-megapixel front camera with a punch-hole design atop the display. The device draws power from a 5,000mAh battery, equipped with support for rapid 120W charging. Notably, the smartphone lacks a headphone jack but possesses an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
