Xiaomi India’s President Steps Down: Shocking New Career Move!

Xiaomi India has officially announced that Muralikrishnan B, the current President, will be stepping down from his role at the end of the year. After more than six impactful years with the company, Murali is set to embark on a new journey focused on his passion for academic research, specifically pursuing an Executive Doctorate in Management with a concentration on Consumer Behaviour on Technology Platforms. He will continue to support Xiaomi India as an independent Strategic Advisor, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing collaboration.

A Legacy of Leadership and Innovation

Murali joined Xiaomi India in 2018, initially serving as the Chief Operating Officer before being promoted to President in 2022. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in enhancing Xiaomi’s brand presence in India, leading strategic initiatives across various teams, and steering critical public affairs efforts. His leadership has been instrumental in establishing Xiaomi as a key player in the Indian technology landscape, connecting millions of consumers with innovative products.

Adam Zeng, Senior Vice President of the Group and President of the International Business Department, praised Murali’s contributions, stating, “Under Murali’s leadership, Xiaomi has seen exceptional success in India. Our commitment to India’s growth journey remains stronger than ever, and we deeply appreciate his contributions.”

Sudhin Mathur, with over 30 years of industry experience, will continue to guide key functions as Chief Operating Officer.
