Xiaomi is in the spotlight once again, and this time, it’s all about the much-anticipated Redmi Note 13 series. Following the successful launch of the Redmi Note 12 series earlier this year in India and in China, the tech giant is gearing up for the next generation of its highly popular Redmi Note lineup. The Redmi Note series has expanded its reach to markets like Europe in the middle of the year, and it’s no surprise that the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series is expected to follow a similar timeline.
All About the Redmi Note 13 Series
A recent report from Xiaomiui has provided some juicy insights into what fans can expect from the Redmi Note 13 series. Let’s dive into the details:
Redmi Note 13 4G
This device is set to arrive in two options – one with NFC and the other without it. These variants are targeted at the European, Turkish, and Indonesian markets. Powering this device will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Codenamed “sapphire” and bearing the model number N7, it is not expected to be available in the Indian market.
Redmi Note 13 5G
Codenamed “gold” and carrying the model number N17, this 5G-enabled device is generating a lot of excitement. It’s rumored to feature a MediaTek Dimensity series processor, possibly with a stunning 108MP primary camera alongside ultra-wide and macro sensors. The global market, including Europe and India, is expected to embrace this device. Additionally, there’s speculation that it might receive a POCO rebranding for select markets.
Redmi Note 13 Pro or Note 13 Pro+
In development under the codename “zircon” and bearing the model number N16U, this device is poised to impress photography enthusiasts. It will sport the same Samsung ISOCELL HP3 200MP main camera sensor seen in previous models, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, you can expect a 16MP front camera. Powering this device will be a MediaTek Dimensity processor. The Redmi Note 13 Pro or Pro+ is set to hit the Indian and other global markets.
Redmi Note 13 Turbo
The flagship model of the series, codenamed “garnet,” is expected to turn heads. It will once again feature the ISOCELL HP3 200MP main camera sensor, setting the stage for impressive photography. Under the hood, it’s likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. What makes this launch particularly exciting is that, for the first time, it’s expected to be available in global markets, unlike its predecessor, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo (which debuted globally as the POCO F5).
While no official renders or live images of the Redmi Note 13 series have surfaced yet, a schematic shared by a Chinese tipster hints at a design inspired by Xiaomi’s 13 series. However, it’s worth noting that the devices are expected to run MIUI 14 based on Android 13, rather than the anticipated MIUI 15 skin, which might come as a disappointment to some Xiaomi enthusiasts.
