Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the Civi 5 Pro will launch later this month, with May 22 tipped as the likely date. The announcement was made through official channels, followed by additional comments from Xiaomi executives. The exact release date is yet to be released by the company, but it’s the premium device that is making heads turn.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro to debut in late May with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, Leica optics, and fast charging
As per Lu Weibing, the President and head of Xiaomi’s smartphone unit, the Civi line is moving away from a stylish flagship lineup to more of an all-rounder flagship while still keeping the thin and light factor in focus.
The Civi 5 Pro, codenamed “Little 15”, hopes to provide a web experience similar to what the user would get on a regular iPhone with sleek aesthetics. It will be offered in four colors: purple, beige, white, and black. The phone is confirmed to feature a Leica Pure Optics camera system and will be surrounded by a round camera module.
It is said to come equipped with a 50MP camera system, which houses a primary sensor with f/1.63 aperture, an ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and 15mm focal length, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 60mm focal length. On the front side, the device is said to carry a 50MP selfie shooter, as confirmed by Xiaomi. Resource-wise, the Civi 5 Pro only recently emerged on Geekbench, where it was found to be using the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip with 16GB of RAM, and was running on Android 15.
The handset has also received 3C certification in China, hinting at 67W fast charging support. Other leaks suggest the phone will sport a 6.55-inch quad-curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution and pack a battery capacity of over 6,000mAh. In China, the handset is expected to be priced around 3,000 Yuan (approximately ₹34,500). When it arrives in India, the Civi 5 Pro may launch under a different name — possibly as the Xiaomi 15 Civi.
