Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro Launching This Month in China with Leica Cameras, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, and Sleek Design
The Civi 5 Pro will be the most powerful in the Civi lineup to date. Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi, described the device, which is internally known as “Little 15,” as one that is said to compete with Apple’s average iPhone in terms of performance. The device is tipped to be powered by the freshest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset coupled with an Adreno 825 GPU and up to 16GB of RAM, according to a recent benchmark listing (model number 25067PYE3C). It will ship with Android 15.
Photography is a major focus for this device. The triple rear camera setup of the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro will have a Leica branding as well, and it will be highlighted by a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Teasers contain camera details, that the main lens is an f1.63 lens and an f2.2 ultra-wide camera with a 15mm focal length. And on the front, the phone is teased to pack a 50-megapixel selfie camera. Xiaomi has shared camera samples highlighting impressive low-light performance.
The device is also rumoured to house a battery larger than 6,000mAh while maintaining a slim 7mm profile. Pre-orders for the phone have already started on Xiaomi’s China website. For reference, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro was launched in March 2024 at a starting price of CNY 2,999 (approximately ₹34,600) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. The Civi 5 Pro is expected to follow a similar pricing strategy while offering major upgrades.
