Xiaomi 14T Series and Redmi Pad SE Receive IMDA Certification

Xiaomi has been the talk of the town these days with its forthcoming devices receiving IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) certification in Singapore, which are about to be launched into the tech-leaked world. The next in line to launch are said to be the Xiaomi 14T series which is likely to debut as a global flagship offering from the company and a tablet called the Redmi Pad SE 8.7, both of which have been sighted on IMDA’s website freshly.

The Upcoming Xiaomi 14T and Redmi Pad SE

From the IMDA listing, we know that the model number is 2406APNFAG which matches what we saw with earlier IMEI listings and is thought to correspond to the Xiaomi 14T. That certification seems to indicate that Xiaomi plans to launch the Xiaomi 14T globally, probably in key markets like Singapore and more. Although there is very little information about the actual device in IMDA’s listing apart from a model number, we can infer some of its features from the Xiaomi 13T series as well.

As for the Xiaomi 13T, it is impressive with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with Dolby Vision, a 144Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. On paper, it offered a 50MP primary triple rear camera setup and a 20MP front sensor with power-packed hardware at its heart; the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultra SOC. The device ran on Android 13 and was backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro has also been rumored to get a bigger 5,500mAh battery capacity and could be fitted with an improved camera system supporting a 50MP+8MP+2MP triple setup, as well as upgrades like an independent X7 display chip coupled with an enhanced Dimensity 9300+ processor. These advancements hope to enhance what it already brought in the previous model which leads to a potential spot on top of the heap of high-end smartphones.

Besides the Xiaomi 14T series, the certification shows that a Redmi Pad SE tablet is on its way soon. We might be looking at a smaller 8-inch Redmi Pad SE with mobile data connectivity (as opposed to the previous 11 inches. With an expected 8.7-inch display size, the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 aims to offer a balance of portability and functionality.
