The Xiaomi 13 Lite is the Xiaomi Civi 2 rebranded, which was released in October of last year and the phone has a new name now that it has been rebranded for the international market. Now coming to one of the most interesting features called Dynamic Island.

This feature made its debut on the iPhone 14 Pro series and shook the world. And, as soon as the feature became widely available, it was obvious that Android would follow suit. There are already apps for bringing Dynamic Island to your Android.

The phone is still unavailable in global markets, but we expect Xiaomi to introduce the Xiaomi 13 Lite, along with the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, at the upcoming MWC 2023.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 13 Lite features a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 20-megapixel macro camera. On the front, there will be two 32-megapixel cameras.

The most notable distinction between the actual Dynamic Island and this Dynamic Island-shaped camera housing is that, at the time of writing, Xiaomi had not developed software capable of performing all of the tricks that Apple’s implementation could.
