The Xiaomi 12 Series lineup will be getting expanded as the lineup will not only feature the Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12X but also a fourth model, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The device has reached the mass production stage and could reach consumers by June.
There are multiple renders that have been unofficially released on the net for a while but some digital bloggers have revealed some new bits on Weibo with respect to the upcoming phone.
As per tipster Digital Chat Station, the new flagship codenamed I1 will continue to use ceramic for its rear and will be sold in White and Black colorways. We could also see Glass options.
In comparison to the glass variant, the ceramic one is harder to mold, but it has a better texture, and it offers greater durability because of improved scratch resistance.
The tipster also stated that while they are yet to see a leather version of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the likelihood of a variant with the material cannot be completely ruled out.
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus chip with model number SM8475, based on TSMC’s 4nm process. It has a 120Hz QHD OLED display, a 4,900mAh battery with 120W fast charging support, and a Leica-branded camera module on the rear.
The camera module is the most fascinating part of the device and the higher module covers nearly the whole top half of the device. This module has a center-aligned circular camera island with nearly 3 cameras inside.
