Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 12 Lite after a series of leaks and a campaign where it launched a short teaser for the phone. The device is well-balanced and brings some great features to the table at its price point Let us take a look.

The Xiaomi 12 Lite is the successor to the 11 Lite 5G NE version and it has rightly so inherited the 6.55″ AMOLED display with support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. This difference is pretty much evident as a look at the punch-hole gives it all away. The new device has it in the center and it also arrives with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip which is based on the 6nm process and it has been coupled with 6GB/8GB RAM versions and 128GB/256GB internal storage support.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite arrives with a 108MP primary sensor with a Samsung HM2 sensor that has an f/1.9 aperture. Along its side is an 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide sensor with a 2MP macro setup.
In terms of selfies, the phone has a 32MP Samsung GD2 sensor with an f/2.5 aperture lens. The device features selfie mode, portrait mode, and Xiaomi Selfie glow as well.
In terms of battery life, we see a 4,300mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and the adapter comes with the phone. It has dual-sim support with 5G standby. The availability of the device in markets is still not clear, the device runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 OS.
Finally, the Xiaomi 12 Lite will be available in Black, Pink, and Green color variants. It is available in a 6GB+128GB version priced at $400 or Rs.31,716, an 8GB+128GB version that is priced at $450 or Rs.35,680, and an 8GB+256GB version that retails for $500 or Rs.39,645. Pre-orders for the phone have already begun via Xiaomi’s official site.
