Mohamed Salah Premier League

Mohamed Salah is without a doubt the best player in the Premier League by a huge margin. The Egyptian winger has scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists in 11 games in the league. Naturally, Liverpool are doing everything in their power to extend his stay at Anfield.

Salah’s contract expires in June 2023, and if Liverpool fail to reach an agreement, they will have to cash in on him next summer. Otherwise, he will be able to walk out for free. The player has demanded an upgrade in salary, which Liverpool are yet to match. Despite him entering his 30s soon, he is the most influential player on the pitch for them right now.

Other European clubs are monitoring the situation of the winger, and are waiting to sign him if the opportunity arises. One of those clubs is Barcelona. According to Catalan newspaper El Nacional, Xavi has asked Joan Laporta to sign Mohamed Salah at all costs.

Their rivals, Real Madrid, are very close to recruiting Kylian Mbappe and Barcelona want a recognised forward of their own to compete for silverware. They have lost Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann this summer, and do not have a world-class attacker to lead the line.

As a result, Joan Laporta is set to try everything in his power to empower the club financially and try to recruit Salah next summer.
