India’s top music streaming app, Wynk Music, today revealed its 2023 Wynk Rewind, a comprehensive roundup of the year’s top artists, albums, and songs that dominated the country’s music landscape.
Wynk Rewind is now live with India’s favourite music of 2023: All You Need to Know
The yearly roundup, Wynk Rewind, compiles the most-played artists, albums, songs, and playlists on Wynk Music. It utilizes an AI algorithm to analyze user music consumption habits, providing Wynk users with a personalized experience within the app. This allows users to gain insight into their own listening patterns – from total minutes streamed to favorite songs and artists – which can be shared on social media platforms.
This year, Wynk Rewind includes new features like the musical zodiac and an activity badge based on fan consumption, allowing fans to identify their super-fan status. Additionally, Wynk listeners will be treated to a unique playlist featuring their top songs, accompanied by a special message video from their favorite artist.
Abhishek Biswal, Head of Digital Products & Services at Airtel, said, “Wynk Rewind is an innovative initiative that provides invaluable insights into our customers’ music preferences and consumption trends. These insights greatly assist us in enhancing the app experience and delivering greater value to our customers. We remain committed to offering the most personalized music experience possible.”
Wynk Studio, India’s largest independent artist music distribution ecosystem, now hosts over 1300 artists, with 55% hailing from non-metro cities, including those in the Northeast. This highlights Wynk’s role as a facilitator for these artists, providing a creative platform and addressing monetization and discovery challenges. The leading indie artists of the year include Aditya Rikhari, Mali, Harsha Prawin, AR Anandh, Dheemusix, and Raj Burman.
In 2023, Wynk helped distribute independent singles such as “Love Token” by Manj Music and Anusha Dandekar, “Billo” by Vishal Dadlani, and Nikhita Gandhi’s “Pyaar mein Pagal”. It also supported independent producers like LGF Studios, promoting their movie “Love All” starring Kay Kay Menon and Swastika Mukherjee.
Wynk Music is available on various platforms, including Android Drive Mode, Android Auto, SIRI, Apple Car Play, Google Nest, Apple Watch, and Google Assistant.
