WWE have confirmed that they will continue expanding their reach in Europe with WWE Backlash 2024 set to be held in the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines on Saturday, May 4, 2024. This is the first-ever premium live event that will be held in the country.

The announcement comes days after WWE’s confirmation that they will be holding a debut pay-per-view event in Germany. Bash in Berlin is scheduled for 31st August 2024 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, which is also the first event that they will hold in Germany.

The official statement confirmed that SmackDown will also be held in Lyon at the LDLC Arena on Friday, May 3, 2024, one day before WWE Backlash. As a result, it will also mark the first edition of the blue brand to be held in France.

Fans interested in attending both events will be able to purchase a combo pass and enjoy a discount from the website.

The LDLC Arena has hosted major music acts such as Green Day, Sting and the Jonas Brothers in the past. The arena will be able to hold around 16,000 people for the event, depending on the arrangement and the tickets made available in the coming months.
