Mark your calendars, WWE fans! The release date of WWE 2K23 is just months away, according to a report by Insider Gaming on 14 January 2023, with the game’s reveal set to take place next week. A source familiar with the game told Mike Straw that 2K will hold an event in San Antonio, Texas, on January 28, the day of the WWE Royal Rumble, to give fans their first full look at the upcoming game.
WWE 2K games have long been a favourite among wrestling fans.
The series has enjoyed tremendous commercial and critical success, with previous titles receiving generally positive reviews from fans and critics. For example, WWE 2K22 was deemed a “significant step forward for the series” after developers fixed a slew of bugs in previous titles.
Hands-on gameplay, details on this year’s 2K showcase with “select matches,” and the announcement of a new game mode are all expected at the San Antonio event. However, more information about the upcoming title will be released on February 1st. Although it has not been confirmed what will be announced, it has been stated that it will include additional information not shown during the San Antonio reveal.
WWE 2K23 is expected to be released by the end of March 2023, but console availability has yet to be confirmed. It is expected to be available on PC as well as last-generation and current-generation consoles, including the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Despite the lack of details on the game, it has been reported that the developers and management are “really happy” with how the game is progressing.
With the announcement of WWE 2K23, fans are excited to see what new features and improvements 2K has in store. Many fans are hoping that the series will return to form, with a focus on fixing the bugs and glitches that have plagued previous titles. There is also a high expectation that the MyFaction and MyGM modes will have more depth, including a more detailed and engaging story mode.
