It was a huge blow to the men in Pakistan as they are in a difficult position to qualify for the semifinals. Sikandar Raza gave an exceptional performance, picking 3 wickets in four overs. Babar Azam got out cheaply managing to score only four runs. Rizwan got out in 14 and Iftikhar couldn’t make more than 5 runs. Zimbabwe had a strong start and Haris Rauf gave the first breakthrough. Shadab and Wasim dismissed a total of four players in their innings.
Pakistan’s loss was completely unexpected and the team got down to the fifth position of Group 2 T20 World Cup 2022 with 0 belts. The team needs to win all three matches to get to the semifinals. However, if any of the teams have a better run rate, they will be out of the race. Though, the loss was completely unexpected.
