Wolves are all set to complete the signing of Sasa Kalajdzic from Bundesliga club Stuttgart. The deal agreed for the striker is worth €18 million plus add-ons, which could take the fee over €20 million if they are achieved.
The medical assessment has been completed ahead of the transfer, and it is only a matter of time before the move is made official. Wolves have made four acquisitions in the transfer window, signing some top players like Matheus Nunes and Goncalo Guedes alongside Nathan Collins.
Sasa Kalajdzic to sign for Wolves soon
The Austrian will become the fifth tallest player of all-time in the Premier League, standing at 6ft 7in (200cm) tall. Needless to say, he will provide a focal point for Wolves’ attack and will also provide some fresh physicality upfront.
Kalajdzic has scored 24 goals and provided 12 assists in 60 appearances for the Bundesliga club. He has agreed a five-year contract with the Midlands club until 2027, and could be a game-changing signing for Bruno Lage.
Raul Jimenez is the only natural number 9 in the squad, and he is now 31 years old. As a result, Wolves will be getting a replacement in Sasa Kalajdzic, who is 25 and entering his peak years physically. This way, the Mexican will be able to share the goalscoring responsibility with the new signing who could turn out to be his long-term replacement.
