In the 2023 rankings, the second most-read article on Wikipedia was the annual compilation of deaths, maintaining its high traffic as observed in 2022 and 2021, securing the #4 and #1 positions, respectively. The third spot was claimed by the highly anticipated 2023 Cricket World Cup, with cricket-related entries dominating Wikipedia’s top 25 articles for the first time since tracking began in 2015.
