What is The WWE Backlash?

In late October 2023, reports surfaced regarding WWE’s discussions to host the 2024 Backlash in Paris, France. On November 16, the company confirmed that the 19th edition of Backlash would indeed take place in France, specifically in Décines-Charpieu, Lyon Metropolis, on May 4, 2024, at the newly opened LDLC Arena. This event marks WWE’s inaugural pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event in the country, titled Backlash France, and also signifies the first time Backlash is held outside of North America.

The event will revolve around the aftermath of WrestleMania XL and will feature wrestlers from the Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.
