WhatsApp: Users will soon be able to Sync their Chat Histories across Multiple Devices

WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will enable users to sync chat histories across different devices. Users can join a second mobile device to their WhatsApp account using the companion mode function without needing an active Internet connection. It is hence similar to the multi-device support capability yet different from it. Only four separate devices can be linked to a single account using the multi-device capability, therefore users cannot attach two cellphones to the same account.

Wabetainfo claims that WhatsApp will make it simpler for customers to connect a second phone to their account. As a result, you can now use the same WhatsApp account on two different phones. Users are unable to use WhatsApp on two smartphones with the current configuration. Users can, however, access their accounts from desktops, tablets, and other gadgets. Currently, the functionality is being developed.

Having the option to hide their online status from particular people is another significant feature that WhatsApp may introduce shortly.

Users of WhatsApp will be able to control who can view their online status. Since the functionality is still in development, beta users won’t have access to it just yet. ” With the addition of the “Everyone” and “Same as Last Seen” choices, it will be possible to control who can see when we are online directly under our last seen settings. For instance,  “Everyone” and “Same as Last Seen”. For example, if you choose “My contacts” for “Last Seen” and “Same as Last Seen” for “online”, it means non-contacts won’t be able to see when you’re online.

WhatsApp just introduced a feature that lets users choose which contacts see their last seen and status updates. Before, users were unable to choose which persons might see their last seen or status updates. There were just three choices available to users: “Everyone,” “My Contacts,” and “Nobody.” Users can now select “My Contacts except” from the menu.
