He has money, looks and a perfect life. What he doesn’t have is a single person he trusts. What a Boss Wants is about the moment a stranger’s voice breaks through that carefully built wall.
What Is the Drama About?
Based on a web novel, this romance follows Kwon Do Hyuk (Sung Hoon), a chaebol boss with no sense of taste who sets out to find the woman whose voice he heard on an album. She is Lee Eun Chae (Oh Se Young), lead vocalist of an indie band, and she becomes the only variable in his otherwise perfect life.
Do Hyuk comes from a family in the top 1 percent. He is handsome and refined, but he is also a perfectionist with zero empathy who takes no interest in others.

A Family Photo With Cracks
The new stills say a lot without words. In the family portrait, all four members stand together, yet a quiet distance hangs between them. Other stills show tension between Do Hyuk and his father, Kwon Tae Woong, and between Do Hyuk and his stepmother, Jung Mi Sun. She is furious that her husband unilaterally named Do Hyuk CEO.
Not everyone is against him, though. His youngest sister, Kwon Do Yeon, respects him more than she respects their father, which makes her wary of women who approach her brother. Meanwhile, chief secretary Park Joon Sang quietly hopes father and son can finally have a sincere conversation.
Why It’s Worth Watching?
Cold-hearted heirs thawing for the right person is a beloved formula, but the music angle adds a fresh twist. Falling for a voice instead of a face is a romantic hook, and the family drama gives the story real emotional depth. For more on the lead actor, see Sung Hoon on Wikipedia.
