The second shifted focus to Alejandro and Graver in an escalating border conflict. Why Fans Are Cautiously Excited Some critics are wary about making another Sicario without Villeneuve and cinematographer Roger Deakins, whose slow-burn dread defined the original. What's Next Filming is expected to begin in early 2027, with no release date announced.
