Ever dropped into a match where the lobby looks like a crossover event from five different games? Activision has heard the complaints. Starting with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4, Warzone gets a new toggle that lets you decide how much of that mash-up you want to see.

How the Toggle Works?

With the toggle ON, any Operator or skin from another Call of Duty title, such as Black Ops 6, is replaced on your screen with a Modern Warfare 4 Operator. That applies to enemies, party members and squadmates, in the lobby and in matches. Your own Operator stays exactly as you chose it, even if it’s from an older game. Nobody else sees any change, and the toggle is off by default.

What Carry Forward Keeps?

Your collection isn’t going anywhere. Operators, Operator Skins and Weapon Blueprints from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 remain usable in Warzone, including everything you’ve earned or bought.

Important correction: The original blog post wrongly said legacy Weapon Camos would carry over. Activision has since corrected this, so camos are not included.

Legacy Weapons: What Changes

All weapons from MWII through Black Ops 7 stay accessible from the Legacy tab in the Loadout menu. However, Gunsmith and old Custom Loadouts won’t work for legacy weapons or blueprints. Instead, each legacy base weapon gets a five-attachment version, unlockable via the Armory, and blueprints keep their existing attachment setups.

The aim is a weapon meta rooted in Modern Warfare 4 while still letting you use nostalgic favourites. Raven Software will balance weapons every two weeks, and more details are promised in the coming weeks.

FAQs

Q1. Does the Operator Skin toggle change what other players see?

No. It only affects your own view, and it’s off by default.

Q2. Will my old skins and weapon camos carry over to Warzone?

Operators, skins and blueprints do, but legacy weapon camos do not.
