The movie will premiere at India’s first Dolby Cinema location at City Pride Multiplexes, Kharadi, Pune, with additional screens planned for Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Trichy, Kochi, and Ulikkal.
YRF’s Legacy of Audio Innovation
This collaboration extends YRF’s decades-long partnership with Dolby, built on consistent innovation. The production house previously pioneered Dolby Audio with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995, introduced Dolby Atmos with DHOOM:3 in 2013, and launched India’s first Dolby Atmos Music catalog in 2020.
Michael Archer from Dolby Laboratories emphasized that this represents “a landmark moment not just for our collaboration, but for how cinema will now be experienced in India.”
Premium Theatrical Experience Design
Dolby Cinema environments feature dynamic lighting, premium seating with unobstructed sightlines, curved wall-to-wall-to-ceiling screens, and carefully designed spaces that minimize distractions. Every design element combines to create uniquely immersive, powerful, and memorable experiences.
Global Impact and Future of Indian Cinema
As the only Indian film releasing in Dolby Cinema format on August 14, War 2 positions Bollywood at the forefront of premium entertainment technology. This milestone demonstrates Indian cinema’s growing international appeal and technical sophistication.
Rohan Malhotra from YRF stated that audiences “won’t just watch the action – they’ll feel every moment and every heartbeat as if transported into the movie’s world with stunning clarity and depth.”
