Sidharth Malhotra & Tamannaah Bhatia’s ‘VVan – Force of the Forest’ Is the Mythological Thriller You Didn’t Know You Needed

Bollywood’s next big OTT event just got announced — and it’s giving us chills already. VVan – Force of the Forest brings together two fan-favourite stars, a spine-tingling premise rooted in Indian mythology, and a powerhouse production team. Here’s everything you need to know.

VVan All About?

The film tells the story of a rational, city-bred man who returns to his ancestral village, dismissing age-old beliefs as superstition. But when he crosses the boundaries of a forbidden forest tied to his lineage, he unknowingly awakens an ancient, divine force — a goddess whose power defies everything he understands about the world.

What unfolds is a gripping battle between logic and faith, modernity and tradition — and ultimately, an ordinary man rising to become a protector of his people. Sounds like the kind of film that’ll keep you up at night.

Why This Film Has Blockbuster Potential

Produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd in association with TVF Motion Pictures and 11:11 Productions, the film is backed by veteran producers Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor alongside Arunabh Kumar of TVF fame. That’s a creative team with both commercial instinct and storytelling credibility.

Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Param Sundari, while Tamannaah Bhatia featured in the Prime show Do You Wanna Partner — so both stars are riding strong OTT momentum heading into this one.

The film’s theme of a forbidden forest awakening an ancient goddess taps deep into India’s rich sacred grove mythology — something that has fascinated storytellers for centuries.
