Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced today the integration of N-Dream’s [AirConsole](https://www.airconsole.com/) in-car gaming platform into select 2027 model year vehicles, positioning it as the first volume automotive brand in the United States to provide this in-vehicle entertainment system. The system allows occupants to engage in multiplayer games on the infotainment display, utilizing compatible smartphones as controllers, exclusively while the vehicle is parked.
The initiative introduces a catalog of 20 games, including globally recognized titles such as PAC-MAN™ Championship Edition, UNO® Car Party!, and Tetris®. Notably, Tetris® will make its North American debut as an in-car gaming experience through AirConsole with Volkswagen. To initiate gameplay, users scan a QR code on the vehicle’s screen to connect their smartphones.

Volkswagen System Availability and Features
AirConsole will be accessible on 2027 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, Tiguan, Golf GTI, Golf R, and ID. Buzz models. These vehicles must be enrolled in the In-Vehicle Premium service, available through the myVW app. The platform’s design, which leverages passengers’ existing smartphones as controllers, aims to simplify access to multiplayer gaming without requiring additional hardware.
Beyond standard gameplay, certain titles will support ambient lighting integration in compatible models and trims, allowing the vehicle’s interior lighting to synchronize with gameplay for an enhanced experience. Volkswagen has also announced exclusive content, including a custom version of PAC-MAN featuring Volkswagen branding, and additional titles like Golazo! and Memory Match with Volkswagen-themed elements.
Subscription Details
AirConsole is part of Volkswagen’s In-Vehicle Premium connected services, which also includes Wi-Fi hotspot capability, Premium Navigation, and Premium Speech, depending on the vehicle model. Complimentary access periods vary by model: 2027 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, Tiguan, and Golf models will include three months of In-Vehicle Premium at no additional cost from the date of purchase, while the ID. Buzz will include one year.
Following the complimentary period, continued access to AirConsole and other eligible connected features requires an active In-Vehicle Premium subscription, priced at $149 per year for eligible 2027 vehicles. To access AirConsole, customers must enroll an eligible vehicle via the myVW app and accept the applicable terms and conditions.
