Vivo Y51 launched in India at INR 17,990

Vivo has launched its Y51 in India for Rs 17,990 or $243. It will be available in two colour options — Titanium Sapphire and Crystal Symphony. Earlier, this mobile was available in Pakistan and Indonesia but with different designs and specifications. It is the Indonesian model that has been launched in India. One of the strongest features of this smartphone is its 5,000 mAh battery along with 18W Fast charge technology.

Vivo claims that a single full charge can provide up to 7.26 hours of resource-intensive games. This is done with the aid of AI power-saving technology. It possesses a 6.58-inch full HD+ screen and supports a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. Also, Vivo Y51 comes as a lone variant with 8GB RAM and offers a 128GB storage facility. The internal storage can be expanded further via a dedicated microSD card (up to 1TB).

It has a triple rear camera setup which has a design similar to the Vivo X50 and V20 series and also consists of a 16MP selfie camera. This comes with an aura Screen filter feature. To add more depth effects in photos, a 2MP sensor is added to the phone. The camera has additional features. Few to name them are AI 48MP mode, slow-motion recording, live photo, and super night mode.

It also comes with a voice recording facility. Other specs of the mobile are Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a side-facing fingerprint reader, dual SIM support, USB OTG, FM Radio, 4G VoLTE, USB-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. It runs on Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11 software. The weight of the handset is said to be 188 grams and measures 163.86×75.32×8.38mm.
