The Vivo X200 series has begun leaking and, so far, at least two models have been planned: the standard Vivo X200 as well as a larger version with model number V2011A. Some new rumors have spilled details about the display size and camera features. Many months before the official announcement of this device, live images of what looks like a Vivo X200 dummy unit have just appeared online and they show off major design changes from its predecessor.
The Upcoming Vivo X200
Based on the images, it appears that Vivo has gone for a display with flat edges – thereby deviating from its predecessor’s curved sides. A center-positioned punch-hole cutout for the front camera and narrow bezels help cram in as much screen area as possible. Towards the right edge, there is a volume rocker and power buttons.
With the part of the design, we know that Vivo X200 will take on a boxy flashy back option to other top-tier flagships like Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15 which should be comfortable to hold as well. Down the bottom, you’ll find a USB Type-C port and speaker vent, plus a SIM tray.
Adding to this is a raised circular setup for the camera sensors as well an LED flash on the top-right corner at least in the case of cameras. It looks like the rear panel would be of glass and it could include a metal middle frame as per a few earlier reports. The dummy unit appears to be in a gold/beige color, but other colors could also be on the table upon launch.
The Vivo X200 is expected to have a slightly smaller display compared to its predecessor, which had a 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED screen. The new model may have a 6.4-inch or 6.5-inch screen and might offer an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes.
Talking about internals, the Vivo X200 is expected to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC instead of the Dimensity 9300 that was seen on the X100. The Jot is rumored to feature a triple-camera array, a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This is an improvement over the previous model’s 50MP primary camera with OIS, 50MP ultra-wide camera, and 64MP telephoto sensor.
