Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro Launched in China

Vivo has recently introduced the X Fold 3 series in China, which includes both pro versions. The pro variant comes with high-end specifications serving as the successor to the X Fold 2. Both models share some features while also offering characteristics.

The Latest Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro

The Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro come with OLED displays measuring 6.53-inch external screen and an 8.03-inch internal display. These screens boast LTPO 120Hz refresh rates and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits delivering visuals. The X Fold 3 Pro includes a fingerprint scanner whereas the standard model features a side-mounted scanner.

In terms of design the X Fold 3 series sports a circular rear camera module. The standard version is promoted as the phone at just 4.65mm when folded and weighing only 219 grams. Lighter than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Both models are IPX8 and IPX4 certified for water resistance. Come with a carbon fiber hinge that’s lightweight yet durable.

For photography enthusiasts, both models offer a camera setup that includes a main sensor of 50MP OV50H with OIS support and a secondary ultra-wide angle lens of also 50MP on each device. The regular version comes with a 50-megapixel portrait camera whereas the X Fold 3 Pro model showcases a 64-megapixel OIS periscope shooter equipped with 3x zoom and a 70mm focal length. Additionally, both versions come with 32-megapixel front cameras placed in an aligned punch-hole cutout.

Internally the X Fold 3 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor while the standard edition utilizes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Both phones offer up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The X Fold 3 features a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging, while the Fold 3 Pro packs a 5,700mAh battery supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Connectivity options include WiFi-7, dual-SIM 5G, IR Blaster, and NFC. The X Fold 3 Pro comes in 16GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB configurations, priced at CNY 9,999 ($1,385) and CNY 10,999 ($1,523) respectively. The standard X Fold 3 starts at CNY 6,999 ($969), with variants ranging up to CNY 8,999 ($1,246). Both models are available in Black and White color options.
