Introducing the Vivo Watch GT: Featuring eSIM Support and a Fresh Design

In addition to the Vivo S19 series, Vivo also officially launched its first smartwatch, the Vivo Watch GT, which has a smartwatch rectangle design, at the Vivo S19 series launch event. The Watch GT, notably, supports eSIM, a feature that will likely be exclusive to Chinese carriers.

The watch has a 1.85″ AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on all sides and the smartwatch sports an aluminum alloy with a glass front cover. It also receives heart rate and SpO2 monitoring sensors on the back. The watch is powered by a 505 mAh battery — though it does not have wireless charging. It does not charge over USB; instead, charging is achieved through a dual pogo pin and charger.

In power-saving mode with eSIM activated, it will last up to 9 days of battery life, but it will last for only 3 days offered battery under regular usage. The battery life lasts a lot longer if the eSIM functionality for two-way calling is disabled, with the Rangefinder 7, there are 21 days in simple time mode and 10 days in normal use.

The Watch GT runs BlueOS which is an AI-powered user interface and it can even take notes, show the commute updates, tickets, and much more right on the watch face. On the other hand, Vivo has kept the chipset that will power the Watch GT under wraps. The Vivo Watch GT also features support for NFC and QR code payments, set up via the Vivo app.

Offered in Black and White, the Watch GT weighs 33 grams without the strap. The device is excellent with your standard 20 mm straps, with the Black version coming with a rubber band, and the White version coming with a leather band.

The Vivo Watch GT will be available for purchase on June 14, and it is priced at CNY799 ($110/€100) for the Black and CNY899 ($125/€115) for the White model, making it a great proposition for potential buyers in the wearable space.
