Vivo has unveiled the Vivo V40 Pro and Vivo V40 mobile devices in India, with major improvements over Vivo’s existing models, following up on last year’s launches. The biggest improvement comes in the form of new camera systems that deliver massive advances in computational photography and a nice boost on the hardware side.
The All New Vivo V40 V40 Pro, Vivo V40, and Vivo TWS 3e ANC
The Vivo V40 Pro and Vivo V40 both feature a sleek glass build with a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, reaching a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The Vivo V40 Pro comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage. Meanwhile, the Vivo V40 has been fueled by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and offers identical RAM and storage capacities.
The Vivo V40 Pro comes with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor alongside autofocus and OIS sensors and also a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. The Vivo V40 has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel sensor with OIS and another 50-megapixel wide-angle. They both feature a 50-megapixel front camera, which ensures selfies and video chats are of great quality.
Battery capacity for the Vivo V40 series stands at 5,500 mAh and supports up to 80W charging. Running on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14, the Vivo V40 series includes connectivity options such as 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C. An in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance add to the premium feel.
The Vivo V40 Pro is priced at ₹49,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and ₹55,999 for the 12GB + 512GB version. It is available in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey and will go on sale from August 13. The Vivo V40 is priced at ₹34,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, ₹36,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and ₹41,999 for the 12GB + 512GB variant. It is available for pre-booking in Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey, and will go on sale from August 19.
Alongside the Vivo V40 series, Vivo has also launched the TWS 3e ANC earbuds in India. Priced at ₹1,899, these earbuds offer impressive features such as up to 30dB active noise cancellation (ANC) and AI call noise reduction. They offer up to 42 hours of battery life with noise reduction off and 36 hours with noise reduction on (with case). The earbuds are available in Dark Indigo and Bright White and can be purchased via Flipkart.
