Just a few days after the global launch of the Vivo V40 SE 5G, it seems that the smartphone brand is also getting ready to unveil the Vivo V40 Lite 5G. Although the company has not yet confirmed any rumors about this smartphone, its appearance on a couple of websites such as Bluetooth SIG and the Global Certification Forum means it may be introduced soon and bring along some significant features.
The Upcoming Vivo V40 Lite
Here’s what could be expected from the upcoming Vivo V40 Lite 5G. The unannounced Vivo V40 Lite 5G has already been listed on the database of Bluetooth SIG with the model number V2341, which is likely to offer Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. In addition to this, the device’s appearance on the GCF website with the same model number reveals that it’ll work on multiple 5G bands.
However, the fact that the earlier-released phone recently showed up on the IMEI database may indicate some improvements such as a new camera system and processor. The listing also mentions a possible announcement date of Q2 2024. Recent reports hint at an official announcement sometime in May or June 2024, and the Vivo V40 Lite 5G will replace the previously released Vivo V30 Lite 5G smartphone in Mexico last year.
On the other hand, Vivo has already introduced a Vivo V40 SE 5G device in a handful of markets. It comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal storage, the V40 SE 5G offers options for expanding both RAM and storage capacity.
In terms of camera capabilities, the V40 SE 5G features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP auxiliary lens, along with a 16MP selfie shooter on the front. It is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging technology. Other features of the Vivo V40 SE 5G include an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
