Ahead of the global launch of the Vivo V40 series, 91mobiles has an exclusive preview of the phone, thanks to tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, which includes its renders and specifications of the European variant of the handset.
That early look gives us a good view of how the phone will look before it’s announced. The launch of the Vivo V40 series is expected soon, considering the number of leaks the phones have witnessed in recent times, meant to be the successor to the Vivo V30 line-up, which debuted earlier this year.
The All New Vivo V40
While the Vivo V30 will have a punch-hole screen, the Vivo V40 has been revealed to have a notch that is smaller than the one for its predecessor. The front showcases a premium curved-edge design with slim bezels framing the screen and a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The volume rocker and power buttons are located along the right edge.
Flip the phone over and there is a sizeable, oval-shaped camera module containing dual-camera sensors and Zeiss branding. Another oval-shaped item beneath this module houses the Aura smart light, alongside another cutout we have still yet to see in action. The renders show the Vivo V40 in purple and grey/silver colors.
The renders also show us some of the key hardware specifications of the Vivo V40. The Vivo V40, the source says, will pack a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display to match its predecessor (2400X1080 pixels). The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Vivo V40 is anticipated to boast a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP front shooter for selfies, mirroring the camera setup of its predecessor.
Additionally, the Vivo V40 is likely to house a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, a slight upgrade from the 5000mAh cell found in the Vivo V30. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The device is expected to run on the Android 14 OS out of the box and feature an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, surpassing the IP54 rating of the Vivo V30.
