The upcoming Vivo V30 has been consistently acquiring new certifications in recent days. Earlier this week, it was identified on the TDRA certification platform in the UAE. Prior to this, it had also been listed on Indonesia’s SDPPI and TKDN, Taiwan’s NCC, Bluetooth SIG, and Geekbench. Now, it has gained approval from the NBTC authority in Thailand. These certifications strongly suggest that the official launch of the V30 is imminent.
More About the Vivo V30
The Vivo V30, with the model number V2318, has been spotted in the NBTC’s database. While NBTC certification typically doesn’t divulge the core specifications of the device, it does indicate that the V30 might be unveiled either by the end of this month or in February.
A prior Geekbench listing for the device unveiled that the Vivo V30 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, boast 12 GB of RAM, and run on Android 14. This has led to speculation that it could be a rebranded or slightly modified version of the Vivo S18, which made its debut in China in December 2023.
Expected features of the Vivo V30 include a 6.78-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to incorporate a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The rear camera setup is anticipated to include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and an Aura-LED flash.
Internally, the Vivo V30 is set to feature the SD7G3 chip, 8 GB or 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a robust 5,000mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging. Running on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14, the device will also incorporate an in-display fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
