Vivo to launch X80 Pro+ in September

After the vivo X80 and vivo X80 Pro made their way onto the smartphone scene earlier this year, it’s time we turn our eyes to a third phone in the X80 group. A trustworthy industry source revealed to us that a new X-series device is on its way to launch in September. The company aims to build upon the good reception of its X80 and X80 Pro with the upcoming X80 Pro+ phone.

After the warm reception of the X80 duo, vivo reached second place in terms of market share (13%) in the premium smartphone segment in China for Q2 2022 according to Counterpoint Research’s latest report.

Vivo X80 Pro+ expected specifications

The phone is rumored to come with a magnificent 6.56 inches (16.66 cm) display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 Pixels. X80 Pro+ is expected to come with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

For optics, it will have an an upgraded camera setup. X80 Pro+ may come with the 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 (1/2.76 inch size, 0.64 μm pixel size) and 50MP ISOCELL JN2 (1/1.12 inch size, 1.4um pixel size) alongside the existing 50MP main and 48MP ultrawide sensors from the X80 Pro.

Vivo is touted to run the Android v11 operating system. And, it might be housing a 6000 mAh battery. Various connectivity options on the Vivo X80 Pro Plus 5G are rumored to include WiFi – Yes, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth – Yes, v5.1, and 5G supported by device (network not rolled-out in India), 4G (supports Indian bands), 3G, 2G. Moreover, sensors on the smartphone might include Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, Color Spectrum.

Vivo X80 Pro Plus 5G smartphone price in India is likely to be Rs 57,992. X80 Pro Plus 5G smartphone may come in Black, Blue, Pink colors.
