A few days ago MediaTek had launched its two new processors: Dimensity 1200 and a toned-down version of it, Dimensity 1100. Recently, a leak has come out regarding Vivo that it is going to launch a phone on March 6, 2021, which will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset. As of now, the retail name of the device has not been confirmed. But it is likely to be the Vivo S9.

On the other hand, an upcoming Vivo smartphone has been surfaced online, stating that it will run on the latest Android 11 OS and will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. The model number we have got of that device is V2072A. If this particular device will be the upcoming Dimensity 1100 powered smartphone by Vivo, then it is expected to named as Vivo S9.
Apart from Vivo, some other Chinese smartphone manufacturers are also in the queue of making affordable smartphones powered by the two latest MediaTek Dimensity chipsets (1200 and 1100). Maybe in the next couple of months, we will see more devices from Redmi and Realme powered by the mentioned chipsets as they have picked the Dimensity 1200 SoC for their upcoming phones in 2021.

Regarding the two chipsets, they are very same in many manners but have slightly different bins. The Dimensity 1200 has one A78 core which clockes up to 3.0GHz, three A78 cores with 2.6GHz speed, and four A55 cores operating at 2.0GHz which are power-efficient in nature.
