Vivo had announced the Vivo T1 and T1x smartphones in China in November 2021. The device is now set to release in India as the brand has begun to tease the arrival of the device. New information has revealed that the T1 is heading to India and this model could be different from the Chinese variant.
The Chinese variant was released with the Snapdragon 778G chip, as per a report by India Today Tech, the Vivo T1 will feature the Snapdragon 695 chip. As per the official teaser, the rear design of the phone will be different from the Chinese variant, it is expected to have minor changes.
The Vivo T-Series will replace the Vivo Y-Series, it includes performance-centric phones. Vivo has a strong market presence in India and with the T-lineup, the company aims to rival Xiaomi and Realme that have a dominant presence in the Online market.
Vivo’s X-Series will continue to offer flagship devices while the V-lineup will continue to offer mid-range models.
The report also mentions that the Vivo T1 will be priced under 20,000 INR. The Realme 9 Pro 5G is set to debut later this month in India and will feature the Snapdragon 695 chip. The device is likely to be priced at 17,999 INR. Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G powered by the Snapdragon 695 later this month or in March of 2022.
The Vivo T1 appears to be at a fiercely competitive price point as the Realme 9 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G are also very good devices.
The landing page of the Vivo T1 is now live on Vivo India’s site and Flipkart. These pages will be confirming some of the key specs of the device in the coming days before the actual launch. The Vivo T1 will launch on the 9th of February.
