The Vivo S20 and S20 Pro will be launched in China on November 28, and are the successors to the Vivo S19 series launched in April this year. A few days back, Vivo had shown the design of both smartphones using promotional posters that detail that both models will be identical looking. Now, fresh posters have emerged to reveal more details about the Vivo S20 series ahead of the official launch.

Vivo S20, S20 Pro Design, and Key Specifications Officially Revealed Ahead of Launch
The Vivo S-series often provides a mid-range offering with high-end cameras and decent specifications. As the teaser suggests the S20 Pro will also come in a Purple color and with a full-depth micro quad-curved display. Vivo claims the phone will have the appearance of a flat screen but will provide the feel of a curved panel.
The camera module will also include a new portrait telephoto lens with a 100x zoom feature for the S20 Pro. The device will be armed with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, a successor to the Dimensity 9200+ chip featured on the Vivo S19. The poster also calls out Vivo’s cancellation of the ‘Blue Crystal technology’, which is claimed to increase the phone’s thermal efficiency.
On the other hand, the regular Vivo S20 will come with a flat-screen and be 7.19mm thick. It’s reported to come with a 6,500mAh semi-solid-state powered battery, claiming to deliver a larger capacity without having to expand the size of the phone. In contrast, the Vivo S19 featured a 6,000mAh battery. The S20 will also feature ‘Dopamine Live Dynamic Photos’ and a new film camera mode. The S20 series comes in two colors, Gold (inspired by phoenix feathers) or Purple.
If the S20 adopts an identical screen to last year, then we’d anticipate two of those BOE Q10 OLEDs with word on the street being a 6.67-inch setup, versus 6.78 inches for the previous generation. Like the S20, the Vivo S20 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Coming to the cameras, the S20 Pro will feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. The front camera gives you a 50MP as well. The standard S20 will likely come with a 50MP + 8MP dual-camera setup, alongside a 50MP front sensor. The Pro version may also feature 90W fast charging.
While the Vivo S-series typically stays in China, these models are often rebranded for global markets, such as India, under the V-series. There’s speculation that the Vivo S20 series could be rebranded as the Vivo S50 lineup for international release.
