Vivo S12 series launched with 50MP dual selfie shooter and dual-LED flash in China

If you love to take selfies and are photogenic, the Vivo S12 Series is for you. The latest addition to Vivo’s range of smartphones is the Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro that deliver the ultimate selfie-shooting experience.

The improved dual pixel-dense front cameras, but that has now been paired with top-tier performance as well, due to the integration of high-end MTK Dimensity processors.

Vivo S12 Pro

The Vivo S12 Pro features a 6.56″ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz and support for HDR10+. The smooth and seamless display has been paired with an impressive touch-sampling rate of 240Hz. The Vivo S12 Pro measures 7.36mm and weighs 171g.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, a flagship-level chip that has proven its mettle over and over again.

The Vivo S12 Pro features a 4,300mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging along support for 44W fast charging. The highlight of the S12 Pro is its camera specs.

The device flaunts a 50MP+8MP ultra-wide camera. The dual cameras are joined by dual-LED flash, integrated within the top bezel. A number of AI-enhanced shooting modes are also available like “AR cute shooting”, sports capture, double exposure, dual-view video, and more.

The rear camera setup comprises a 108MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.

The Vivo S12 Pro is priced at Yuan 3,399 ($599 or 40,235 INR) for the 8GB RAM+128GB variant while the 12GB RAM+256GB variant retails at Yuan 3,699 ($533 or 45,188 INR).

The Vivo S12 is the more affordable variant that was unveiled with a design similar to that of the Pro variant. However, it ditches the curved screen but it also comes with a much boxier design.

Its dimensions measure 157.20 x 72.42 x 7.39mm and it weighs 179g. The screen measures a 6.44″ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch-sampling rate of 180Hz.

The front cameras of the device are integrated within a notch and it comes in a 44MP+8MP setup. The rear camera setup has a 108MP primary sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor.

The Vivo S12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chip and it has a 4,200mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging support.

The Vivo S12 comes in an 8GB RAM+128GB variant that retails for Yuan 2,799 ($439 or 33,113 INR) while the 12GB RAM+256GB variant that costs Yuan 2,999 ($470 or 35,451 INR).

The Vivo S12 and S12 Pro will officially go on sale from the 30th of December in China.
