Vivo company is reportedly about to launch its new smartphone under the NEX lineup. This information has come out in the latest report. Along with this, information about the key specifications of the phone has also been given in the report. The report comes from Digital Chat Station (via ITHome) on Weibo. The tipster says that the next smartphone from Vivo will be a NEX lineup device. The company launched Vivo Nex 3S 5G smartphone in March last year under this lineup. Now after more than a year, the company is preparing to bring a new phone under this lineup.
According to the tipster, this unnamed Vivo Nex smartphone will feature Qualcomm’s next flagship chip, the Snapdragon 898. A launch date for the device still remains unclear. Further, the tipster says that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset.
Moreover, the report says that iQOO 9 series smartphones could launch after the Vivo NEX series phone. Moreover, this one too is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 SoC. As far as the chipset is concerned, it was recently leaked that the Snapdragon 898 will comprise an octa-core CPU.
This will be consisting of a Cortex-X2 primary core coupled with 3x Cortex-A719-based performance cores, which will be clocked at 2.5GHz. Furthermore, it also has energy-efficient Cortex-A510-based cores. The Adreno 730 GPU will handle the graphics. Samsung will produce the Snapdragon 898 through its 4nm process.
The Snapdragon 898 is not expected to become official until December this year, so we don’t expect detailed reports on the Vivo Nex anytime soon.
