It is reported that the shipments will begin on November 18. Many other iQOO devices are in line to receive the OriginOS 4 update in China, and the two newest smartphones in the iQOO 12 series will be arriving with the OriginOS 4 custom skin, which is based on the Android 14 operating system.

Performance gains include quicker app responsiveness, made possible by a “virtual graphics card”. App opening and closing times are shortened by 36%, while frame rate stability is increased by 70%.

To enhance visual comfort, more than 2,000 icons have been changed. Together with UI Interactions featuring contextual wallpapers, lock screen customizations, and real-time blurring effects, the business added a special vivo Sans font to the entire system.

In terms of performance, the custom skin includes several elements that help to improve speed, including a heterogeneous processing environment, Unfair Scheduling 2.0, Memory Fusion 4.0, and a virtual graphics card. Integration of AI is important as well.

Additional noteworthy features are the Family Health Manager, Full Link Conference Assistant, Vivo Office Suite, Off-library travel optimization, Trip Planning Assistant, and Full Link Parking Assistant.

By year’s end, Vivo’s OriginOS 4 distribution to current devices will start. The X Fold2, X Flip, X90, X90 Pro, and X90 Pro+—as well as the iQOO 11, iQOO 11S, and iQOO 11 Pro—that are based in China and lack Android will be the initial smartphones. Pre-installed will be it on the next vivo X100 and iQOO 12 series.
