VisionQuest Just Got a Release Date Shake-Up — Here’s the Full Schedule

Marvel fans counting down to VisionQuest just got a pleasant surprise. With Paul Bettany’s Vision and James Spader’s Ultron finally returning to Disney+, Marvel Television has tweaked the release plan in a way that actually works in fans’ favor — especially with Avengers: Doomsday looming large in December.

What Changed?

VisionQuest is now opening with a two-episode premiere on October 14, instead of the single-episode rollout many expected. That shift also pushes the finale earlier, wrapping the series on November 25 rather than the previously planned December 2 — giving the show breathing room before Doomsday hype takes over.

Full VisionQuest Episode Release Schedule

Lucky fans attending the BFI London Film Festival will even catch the first two episodes early, on October 12 — two days ahead of the Disney+ drop.

Why the Two-Episode Premiere Makes Sense?

Marvel Television has used double premieres before, for shows like WandaVision, Hawkeye, and Agatha All Along. But VisionQuest‘s opener is set to run a hefty 97 minutes, making it the longest two-part premiere in the franchise’s Disney+ history.

That extra runtime matters here. VisionQuest isn’t just continuing Vision’s story after a five-year gap — it’s introducing an entirely new concept: his internal “Mind Space,” populated by a cast of familiar MCU AI characters. Two episodes give the show room to establish that world before diving into its central mystery.

There’s also a strategic angle. By wrapping up three weeks before Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, VisionQuest avoids getting buried under Doomsday buzz — even though the two stories aren’t closely connected.

The Bigger Picture for the MCU

VisionQuest closes out the WandaVision trilogy, a storyline Marvel has hinted will carry real weight into Avengers: Doomsday. Whether that connection is subtle or major remains to be seen, but the earlier finale suggests Marvel wants this chapter fully resolved with time to spare before its next big cinematic event.

To brush up on the character’s comic book origins, the Vision (Marvel Comics) page on Wikipedia is a solid starting point.
