Kohli’s insatiable appetite for runs didn’t stop at the World Cup records. He also ascended above the revered Sri Lankan cricketer, Mahela Jayawardene, becoming the fourth-highest run-getter in international cricket. Mahela’s record of 25,957 runs in 668 innings was no longer safe as Kohli, with 25,958 runs in just 567 innings, achieved this milestone with authority.
