K-pop’s most scrutinised stars are once again at the centre of an online storm — and this time, it’s a viral surgeon’s analysis video that has fans divided down the middle.

What Started the Debate?

BTS’s Jungkook and BLACKPINK’s Lisa have been subjected to plastic surgery accusations after surgeon analysis videos began gaining widespread attention online. A video of a surgeon claiming to analyse Jungkook’s nose and alleging multiple nose alterations went viral on X, sparking an immediate and heated debate among fans and netizens.

The videos spread rapidly across social media, with opposing camps forming almost instantly — those convinced by the surgeon’s claims, and a much louder group of defenders standing firmly behind both idols.

Surgeon's Viral Video Alleging BTS Jungkook & BLACKPINK Lisa Had Plastic Surgery Sparks Fierce Fan Debate

How Fans Are Reacting — BTS Two Very Different Camps

The reaction was swift and polarising. Many fans rallied hard to defend Jungkook, sharing older photos and pointing out that natural changes in weight, lighting, and age can dramatically alter facial appearance without surgery. The term “desperate for attention” — aimed at the surgeon — trended among ARMY almost immediately.

Defending Jungkook also brought up a separate resurfaced video from a plastic surgeon who claimed Lisa had surgery on her nose. That video too started gaining fresh attention from netizens, with many commenting on the Thai idol’s visual transformation since her pre-debut days. Koreaboo

Subject	Allegation	Fan Response
BTS Jungkook	Multiple nose revision surgeries claimed	Strongly defended by ARMY — old photos used as counter-evidence
BLACKPINK Lisa	Nose job and full facial changes alleged	BLINKs push back, citing natural maturation and styling

Should We Take These Videos Seriously?

This conversation sits at a deeply uncomfortable intersection of fan culture, body autonomy, and online accountability. Plastic surgery is common and openly discussed in South Korea — but using unverified social media videos to publicly accuse specific celebrities remains ethically fraught territory.

Neither Jungkook, Lisa, nor their respective agencies have commented on these specific allegations. Without confirmed statements, these remain speculative claims made by third parties with no direct access to either artist’s medical history.

The real question isn’t whether either idol has had surgery — it’s why viral strangers on the internet feel entitled to a detailed forensic analysis of their faces in the first place. K-pop fans have long grappled with where healthy admiration ends and invasive scrutiny begins.
