Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Burnley for Vincent Kompany, with the Belgian all set to become the new manager of the Bavarian side. The former Bundesliga side will pay a fee worth €12 million for their top managerial target, who will officially sign for the German giants in the coming days.
Kompany will replace Thomas Tuchel at Bayern, and has been chosen over the likes of Roberto De Zerbi and Hansi Flick. His Burnley side suffered relegation from the Premier League this season, but that seemingly hasn’t affected his stock.

The former Manchester City centre-back led Burnley to the Championship in his first full senior season with the Clarets. However, he stuck to his playing side in the Premier League, which ultimately ended up costing the side their place in the top flight.
Vincent Kompany’s possession-based style of play seems to have impressed those in charge at Bayern enough to take a gamble at this early stage of his career.
After an underwhelming season under Tuchel, it’s anybody’s guess as to how things work out under Kompany in 24/25. He will have a full preseason considering he has been signed relatively early, and can start planning right away.
