A sizable update to VALORANT called 6.07 is on the way, and it’s going to include a brand-new VALORANT bundle that introduces skins we’re all too familiar with. The CSGO-style skins that are part of the Black Market bundle will change according to whether the player is currently on the attack or defence team.
Fans of the CS competitor have been clamouring for this long-awaited feature, but Riot Games, the game’s developer, has made it clear that it isn’t something that will be available on a permanent basis.
It makes light-hearted reference to the VALORANT’s main rival. Since the FPS game first appeared in 2020, it has worked tirelessly to weaken CSGO’s hold on the market, and for the most part, it has succeeded admirably. Although esports and the larger VALORANT community have expanded quickly, CS still reigns supreme despite all of the achievements.
The Black Market bundle, which will be available in the game store on April 12th, will allow players to customise five weapons with uncannily familiar skins. They are almost exact replicas of the default CSGO skins and serve as representations of actual weapons.
VALORANT: Black Market Bundle includes:
- Black Market Bulldog (which becomes a FAMAS)
- Black Market Vandal (which becomes an AK47)
- Black Market Marshal (which becomes a Scout)
- Black Market Classic (which becomes a Glock 18)
- Black Market Knife (which becomes a butterfly knife)
This number will slightly rise with the Black Market bundle because not every player will have it. However, if Riot were to permanently increase the number of skins to 360, it would have a negative effect on performance and load times and allow each player to have a unique skin for both the attack and defence teams.
