Intel will make its first GPU announcement at the start of next year, most probably at CES 2022, and it has already given its GPU brand a name called Intel Arc. Well, the first GPU series under their ‘Arc’ branding will be codenamed Alchemist and Intel confirmed its roadmap on its Architecture Day.

So, Intel will go up to its Xe-HPG 512-EU model for laptops as well suggests the latest leak on Geekbench. Interestingly, this Intel’s discrete flagship mobile GPU was paired with an 11th Gen Tiger Lake-H mobile SKU but not with an upcoming Alder Lake-H55 processor.

This GPU was spotted on Geekbench as Intel Xe Graphics only with no Arc branding running at 1800 MHz maximum frequency. However, it can be confirmed that the GPU spotted sports 512 Compute Units or Execution Units and previously, we have spotted the same GPU but with 256 or 128 Execution Units.

Also, rumours have been floating Intel’s flagship Arc GPU will sport up to 512 EUs max, so this leak does make sense. However, this 512 EU variant is faster than its brothers but lacks AMD/NVIDIA solutions as it posts 34,360 scores on the Geekbench OpenCL test.

This is far slower than the Radeon RX 570 and even the GTX1650; however, if rumours are to be believed, Intel’s upcoming top-of-the-line Arc Alchemist GPU for the desktop will compete against the NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU.

With days we can expect more accurate results and so get an idea of how much performance these upcoming Intel Arc Alchemist mobile GPUs will offer on paper.
