Upcoming ASUS ROG Phone live shots reveal its 64MP main camera and design

The teaser released by Asus last week regarding its upcoming ROG Phone flagship suggests that it will offer an improved display design. Yesterday, another leak revealed that the Asus ROG Phone 4/5 will be fueled up by a bigger 6,000mAH battery.  As per its predecessor, ROG Phone 3, it is fueled up by a 6,000mAH battery with 30W fast wired charging. That’s why we can expect a minimum of 60W or 65W of wired fast charging for the upcoming flagship of Asus.

Recently, we’ve got a leaked image (a live shot) of the phone’s rear panel showing its design. As per the tipster, who shared the live shot, the upcoming ROG Phone will be the Asus ROG Phone 5 instead of 4. We can see the number 5 at the center of the back panel suggesting that the company might have decided to skip the number 4 to launch its next gaming phone as the ROG Phone 5.

Coming to its camera section, we can witness a horizontally placed triple (probably) rear camera setup that includes a 64MP primary sensor supported by an LED flash. However, the rear panel design doesn’t look that different comparing to its predecessor models. We can see the ROG brand logo is placed at the bottom-left corner of the back panel. Also, there is a red-colored button visible on the lower-right corner of the phone, probably a shortcut key to enter the game mode.

However, it is just a leaked live shot and that’s why we have no authenticity for this image. Maybe some new images or reports will make it out of the wraps. Along with faster-wired charging, the Asus ROG Phone 4 is expected to support reverse wired charging, Quick Charge 4, and Power Delivery. Coming to its other specifications, this phone should run on the latest Android 11 OS out of the box. Regarding the display, this phone is expected to feature an AMOLED panel with a faster refresh rate of 144Hz or even higher. As it is a flagship segment from Asus, it will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G chipset. As of now, the company has not confirmed anything about its launch date, but we can expect it to arrive this quarter of 2021 (four months earlier than its predecessor).
