Upcoming AMD Ryzen 4000 desktop APUs benchmarks leaked on 3DMark

The recently leaked Ryzen 4000 APUs have been spotted on benchmarks and still we are in the hope that AMD will be launching them in late 2020 along with Zen 3 based Ryzen 4000 desktop processors. Based on 7nm process, these Zen 2 based Renoir APUs shall give superior CPU performance along with great Vega iGPU experience.

Thanks to TUM_APISAK and _rogame, who have posted the leaked 3DMark benchmarks of these APUs. As we see the Ryzen 3 4200G to be confirmed to feature 4 cores and 8 threads along with 3.8 GHz base clock speed and a boost clock speed of 4.1 GHz. It is paired along with 6 CU of Vega iGPU clocked at 1.7 GHz and the VRAM bus runs at 1.6 GHz.

In benchmarks, the AMD Ryzen 3 4200G manages to score around 6,825 points in the physics test while a decent 3,486 points in the graphics test. This score is quite similar to the recent Ryzen 3 3100 paired with Vega 6 iGPU which indeed will be great news for budget gamers.

Coming to the budget Ryzen 5 PRO 4400G, which will give almost similar performance to its non-pro variant, is a 6-core / 12-threaded APU with 3.7 GHz base clock speed and boost clock speed of up to 4.3 GHz. These specs is similar to the previous and indeed they seem to be true.

The Vega iGPU is clocked at a higher 1.9 GHz clock speed but the actual number of CUs is still not confirmed it can be Vega 8 or 11, not confirmed till now. This APU manages to score a decent 19,113 points in Fire Strike physics test, but the iGPU scores just 4,033 points which are indeed considered to last-gen, waiting for more benchmarks and leaks to confirm.

Now, the top-end 8 core and 16 threaded Ryzen 7 PRO 4700G, which will also perform similar to the non-pro variant, and it features 3.6 GHz base clock speed along with boost clocks of up to 4.45 GHz. Now again its unsure how many CUs the Veha iGPU consists but it will likely be Vega 11 iGPU with higher clock speed of 2.1 GHz.

Coming to scores, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4700G scores 23,392 points in Fire Strike physics test while the Vega iGPU scores a high 4,301 points, a decent improvement with respect to Ryzen 5 PRO 4400G. The CPU performance is considerably great with more cores and 4 more threads.

Interestingly, @_rogame has found a comparison between the Ryzen 7 PRO 4700G and the mobile Ryzen 9 4900HS APU. The Ryzen 7 desktop APU seems to be 10% faster with respect to CPU core performance, and 5% faster in comparison to integrated graphics.

Hopefully, with days we’ll get more leaks to confirm the specs and performance of these upcoming APUs, with any details leaked we’ll keep you informed.
