Unai Emery has renewed his contract with Aston Villa, extending his stay until 2027. The former Arsenal manager has been incredible with the Midlands club, helping them mount a top four challenge. And as things stand, they might just return to the Champions League next season.
Bayern Munich were linked with Emery, after Julian Nagelsmann rejected the club’s offer to return as their new head coach. And the extension has put to rest any questions about Emery’s future, confirming his commitment to Villa.

The relationship between Emery and the Villa hierarchy is excellent, and the results on the pitch have reflected that. The team is playing incredible attacking football, with Ollie Watkins and Emi Martinez both performing at their best as the standout performers in the squad.
But, he has also helped get the best out of midfielders Douglas Luiz and John McGinn, both of whom have formed a strong core in the middle of the park. Rotation in attack and using Moussa Diaby and Leon Bailey has been yet another aspect of the manager’s gameplan that has paid off.
And now, Bayern will have to turn away from Unai Emery to consider their other options.
