As per the sources, we found that GAME rapidly changed the information on its Assassin’s Creed Mirage page. As a result, the Deluxe Edition will now cost £49.99 instead of £34.99 when you go to buy it. We appreciate @JustAMoogle’s tweet letting us know about the adjustment.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Glitch or Offer?
According to the tweet, the preorders for Assassin’s Creed Mirage are now open in the UK, with prices for the Standard Edition on the Ubisoft Store listed at £44.99, the Deluxe Edition at £49.99, and the Collector’s Edition at £129.99. However, UK store GAME is also currently accepting preorders, and the Standard and Deluxe Editions are also listed there for just £34.99 as of this writing.
Either this is a transient glitch, or this is an incredible offer. You have nothing to lose by preordering this because GAME won’t charge you until the game releases (pay on dispatch). However, if this is a mistake, GAME will probably change the pricing very quickly, so if you want to benefit, I’d check it out as soon as you can.
Preorders at £35 Not Available
One drawback with GAME is that the delivery fee, which is £5, must be paid when the Assassin’s Creed Mirage releases. Therefore, the Deluxe Edition will cost you £39.99, which is still £10 less than the advertised price when purchased directly from Ubisoft.
However, if you are feeling very resourceful, you might choose to pick up the game from your neighborhood shop when it goes on sale. This costs £5 as well, however GAME does “reimburse” you by giving you a £5 store credit. Although obtaining free delivery (or free click & collect) would appear to be preferable, it’s still better than nothing and worth knowing before you preorder.
Since this isn’t a large-scale RPG like Assassin’s Creed, the story will be more focused and there won’t be as much gameplay as usual. Although this is merely conjecture, it is likely why the game won’t be listed at the new premium prices for AAA games in the UK, ranging from £65 to £70. Instead, you should expect to pay a maximum of £50 for the game because it is smaller than the formerly enormous Creed games.
What’s inside the Deluxe Edition Preorders?
There aren’t many extras if you want to preorder the Mirage Deluxe Edition, but since it is priced the same as the ordinary version, you might as well get it. According to the Ubisoft website, the Deluxe pack “unlocks an outfit inspired by Prince of Persia, eagle and mount skins, weaponry, and more.”
While GAME also claims that you will receive a “digital artbook and digital music” as a bonus. The Forty Thieves will be a free additional adventure with all preorders.
- Prince of Persia–inspired outfit
- Bonus Eagle and Mount skins
- Bonus Weapons
- Digital Artbook
- Digital Soundtrack
- Bonus quest: The Forty Thieves.
A release date for Assassin’s Creed Mirage for the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and PC is not yet known. The game will be launched sometime in 2023, according to Ubisoft. So, the GAME listing’s reference to December 31, 2023, is a placeholder.
